Our humble Beginnings
Why the name Allanblackia?
The name "Allanblackia Safaris" was obtained from a local medicinal tree commonly used by natives around Bwindi impenetrable national park called ALLANBLACKIA. This is a rainforest tree which is endemic to some parts of East Africa and Tropical Africa - moister regions from Togo to eastern D.R. Congo, south to the Congo Brazzaville. It’s mainly used to cure stomachache, toothache, diarrhoea, dysentery and so many other stomach illnesses.
One of our major objectives at AllanBlackia Safaris is to promote experiential, client-centered Travel service which includes off-the-beaten track birding, adventure, trek- king, wildlife safaris, honey moon safaris, water rafting, research and camping experiences in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania as well as Africa at large
Founder's story
Tumwijukye Sympathy Aggrey is my name and am the managing director of Allanblackia safaris ltd which is a domestic company found in Uganda doing safari adventures around East Africa Thus Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and D.R. Congo specifically Low land gorilla trips .
To tell more about myself I was born in Bwindi impenetrable forest a home of mountain gorillas and I was born and raised in a family of 5 and me being the second born to my family and the first person to graduate with a bachelor degree in my family and the entire village . My passion for tourism started from childhood days; seeing a lot of tourists come to my village I admired a lot to be a tour guide driver and that was my biggest inspiration for my day today career.
I started my school career in Bwindi in a local school where I did my primary school education, my secondary school I went to a school that was 80km from home thus Kigezi high school where I studied for 4 years and after ordinary level I joined Mbarara high school for my advanced level education for two years before joining the university. During my high school vacation I was able to work with Uganda wildlife authority in Bwindi forest were I worked as a gorilla trekker and birding sight guide for a full year.
I later joined the university in Entebbe called Nkumba university pursuing a bachelor degree in tourism and hospitality management.. At the university I was about to get a placement at Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe where I volunteered as an Educator and animal keeper for a period of two years and 8 months before Covid came in and I lost my job.
After Covid I had to search for jobs and I got a chance to work as a freelance guide in different safari companies and thus where I was able to start up my own company. I hope to have and create the most memorable days in the travel world and make the Endless travels around the world. Travel is Endless.
