6 Days Kidepo & Murchison Falls National Park Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, you will head to kidepo valley national park. This is a 3 to 4 hours’ drive with the most interesting sites along the way including the Mantattas [grass thatched houses] and the scenic views of the hills that separate the lands of Acholi and Karamoja. You will also cross some rivers and arrive at Kidepo valley National park in time for lunch. After taking lunch, you will go for an afternoon game drive. During the game drive you will drive to Narus valley where you will be able to view a number of wildlife species including buffaloes, elephants, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, oribi that gather around the river to drink water, cheetahs, hyenas and rare bird species. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner.

After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your guide to head for a morning game drive where you will be rewarded with great views of animals including elands, bohor reedbuck, Jacksons hartebeest, waterbucks which are always grazing in the open savannah plains, view predators like lions, cheetahs, jackals, leopards, hyenas looking for a morning hunt plus different bird species like yellow barbet, ostriches, kori bustards, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxing and taking lunch. After lunch, you will visit a local community of the Karamoja tribe. You will learn about their traditions and cultures, unique housing, ornaments and crafts. You will also enjoy traditional dance presentation. Return to the lodge for dinner.

After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you and depart for Murchison falls national park. You will have a stopover in Gulu town for early lunch. Arrive in Murchison late in the afternoon; relax for the rest of the day at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, set off for a morning game drive in the park to observe plenty of animals and birds and enjoy beautiful savannah scenery. Explore the vast grasslands of the park where you will be exposed to huge sum of game like buffaloes, lions, Uganda Kobs, giraffes, oribi, baboons, patas monkeys among others plus a variety of bird species like carmine bee-eater and Abyssinian ground hornbill being conspicuous throughout the game drive. The game drive takes 4 hours, return to the lodge to rest and have lunch. Transfer for an afternoon boat trip on the Nile to the base of the Murchison falls. The cruise takes 3 hours where you will be able to see plenty of life along the Nile including hippos, crocodiles, elephants and others that come to drink water plus water birds like cormorants, kingfishers, herons, fish eagle etc. After the cruise, drive for a visit to the top of the falls. Enjoy the amazing views of the world’s strongest waterfall. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, check out and leave for Budongo Forest, this is Uganda’s second best place to see chimpanzees after Kibale Forest with about 90% chances to see these primates. You will check in at Budongo Eco Lodge, get your guides that will lead you into the forest. Make a stopover at the Kabarega dinners in Nakasongola for lunch and then continue to Kampala/Entebbe for the flight.
