Overview

The 10-day Kenya safari is an unforgettable journey where you visit some of the iconic national parks beginning with Masai Mara National Park for the Big Five unique culture and the giant migration of wildebeest. From there, visit Lake Nakuru the birder’s spotting point, and head to Mt Kenya for a Hiking and nature wall experience.

The safari will end in Amboseli National Park for game drives at the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa. This safari combines wildlife, culture, and beautiful scenery offering a comprehensive experience of Kenya’s natural beauty and wildlife.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Transfer to Masai Mara

Depending 9n the agreed meeting point, the driver guide will pick you up in the morning in Nairobi and transfer you to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, known for its diverse wildlife and vast savannahs. Have a great view of the Great Rift Valley where you get a chance to explore the beautiful valleys as you capture photos.

Arrive at the lodge for lunch, a short rest, and then bark on the late afternoon game drive for the first sight of the beautiful mammals and birds in the endless scenery. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, cheetahs, wildebeest and more. Head back to the lodge for your dinner and night stay.

Day 2 and 3. Full-day game drives

The two days will be spent in the Mara plains where you will encounter different and great memories accompanied by witnessing the annual wildebeest migration depending on the month of your safari. Also, have a chance to visit the Masai Village to immerse yourself in one of the unique African cultures. Apart from cultural emulsion, expect to meet wildlife including the big five, giraffes, ostriches, and others.

Day 4. Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy breakfast and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park which is located in the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy the drive through your window since it offers the best scenic view of the surroundings. In the afternoon, take a game drive after lunch where you encounter different animals such as rhinos, lions, leopards, and more.

Lake Nakuru National Park is known to be home to different birds and the flamingoes becoming the outstanding ones but pelicans, kingfishers, and vultures won’t also be missed on this day. Head to the lodge and this will create everlasting memories after checking in the lodge.

Day 5. Full-day game drive

Spend a full day in the park exploring its different corners through a game drive. This park is relatively small making it easy to explore it on this full-day game drive. There is a lot to spot such as the flamingoes, pelicans, vultures, and more of the animals like rhinos, water bucks, warthogs, baboons, and many more.

Day 6. Transfer to Mountain Kenya National Park

Depart to Mount Kenya National Park after breakfast a UNESCO World Heritage site. Arrive and have lunch which will be followed by a short hike or nature walk since the park offers hiking as an activity. Mt Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa, there is a lot to explore on this trail such as flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes, and more.

Day 7. Mountain Kenya National Park hike

Take part in a full day to explore the moorland in the higher altitudes for spectacular views. While on a trail, explore the beautiful Mount Kenya hyrax, various bird species, bushbucks, elephants, buffalos, and more.

Day 8. Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Have breakfast and then transfer to Amboseli National Park which is located at the foothill of Mt Kilimanjaro hence offering a beautiful scenery of Kilimanjaro with its snow. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surroundings and the local Villages. Head for an afternoon game drive where you expect to meet larger herds of elephants, buffalos, giraffes, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and many more. Head to the lodge for your dinner in the evening time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9. Full-day game drive

Spend a full day exploring the beautiful Amboseli National Park where you expect to meet animals like cheetahs, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, and many more. Enjoy a picnic lunch as you glip on Mt Kilimanjaro.  Also have a chance to explore different bird species such as Pelicans, kingfishers, Herons, ibis, vultures, and many more others.

Day 10. Travel to Nairobi

Depending on your scheduled flight, have breakfast and take part in the game that will mark the climax of this great safari. Later on, head back to Nairobi and this will mark the end of the 10-day Kenya safari.
