Overview

Spend these 8 days and 7 nights exploring beautiful Tanzania and Uganda. There is a lot to do while on this safari but mainly the game drives in Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area and gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park will be the highlights of this safari. Other activities will be optional such as hot air ballooning in Tanzania, a Batwa community tour in Uganda, a visit in Lake Mutanda, beaches in Entebbe, and more.

Don’t forget that there will be great moments such as picnic lunch, sunrise and sunset, enroute stopover at the Uganda equator, and more. This tour combines culture and wildlife in both Uganda and Tanzania, the tour will be in Arusha and it will end in Entebbe.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and Transfer to Serengeti National Park

On arrival at the airport, meet and greet the driver guide who will take you through a briefing about this amazing Uganda Tanzania Safari. He will help you to get all the necessities that might be required during this great adventure. Head to Serengeti National Park a home to the large and small wildlife. The journey is amazing as you pass through the local homesteads. Arrive at the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2-3: Full day Serengeti national park

Spend these days in the plains of Serengeti National Park exploring the beautiful sceneries that are home to diverse wildlife. Take part in game drives and hot air ballooning tours to get the real African wildlife adventure through this famous national park. Expect to meet animals like rhinos, crocodiles, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalos, lions, duikers, dik-dik, cheetahs, zebras, warthogs, gazelles and more. If it’s time for the migration of wildebeest, have a chance to witness these ugly creatures of the world.

Day 4: Explore Ngorongoro Crater

Leave Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater area a drive that will last for about 4 hours. This experience will take you to explore the crater area for 5 good hours on your arrival with your packed lunch. There is a lot to explore such as the big five animals that is elephants, leopards, lions, buffalos, and the rhinos, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, and more. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed and later on, ascend to your lodge for dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Arusha – Fly to Entebbe (Uganda)

Leave the Ngorongoro crater area and transfer to Arusha. Fly to Entebbe International Airport where you meet another tour guide who will take you through the Uganda expedition. The driver guide will offer you a quick brief about the remaining days to be spent in Uganda and here you will have any optional activities such as cycling, visiting Entebbe botanical gardens, the reptile village, Entebbe beaches, and more before you transfer to the hotel booked.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, embark on an 8 to 10-hour drive journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home to almost half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas. The journey is amazing since it involves passing through roadside markets, an equator viewing points, and local craft shops, and then having a chance to visit the Igongo cultural center for a cultural experience of the two cultures that is the Banyankole and Bakiga. Proceed and arrive at the lodge booked for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience and optional activity

Wake up excited to meet the gorillas during the gorilla trekking experience. Be served with a heavy breakfast since the day will be long and needs a lot of energy. Following the briefing at the park headquarters, the park guide ranger will explain to you the different rules and regulations to follow while in the forest and among others include; don’t feed wild animals, always keeping a distance, don’t litter the forest, staying within the allocated group, and do not mimic.

There is a lot to spot such as primates, birds, plants, and more 9f the butterflies. On meeting the gorilla family, spend an hour with them following their movement, habits, and more. The head of the family will be practicing their leadership skills, while other members be feeding, playing, and more. Return to the lodge after the experience for lunch which will be followed by an optional activity like visiting Lake Mutanda or taking part in the Batwa community walk.

Day 8: Transfer back to Entebbe and Departure

Have an early breakfast and transfer back to Entebbe with a stopover at the Uganda equator crossing point. At this point, have an en route lunch, take photos, and buy some souvenirs for remembrance of your Uganda-Tanzania safari.
