Detailed Tour.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Expect to meet AllanBlackia Safaris’ driver guide at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. Get a warm welcome into Tanzania plus a short briefing. From Kilimanjaro Airport, your specialist guide will transfer you to your hotel. This day is dedicated to arrival, you will make the best of your evening to prepare for the next day’s journey to Tarangire National Park.
Day 2: Travel by road to Tarangire national park
Early in the morning after you have fully prepared, meet the driver guide and today, you will be heading to Tarangire National Park for a wildlife safari. Tarangire lies within the Manyara region in Tanzania and is Tanzania’s 6th biggest park. Tarangire is 2850 sq. km and boasts of its huge herds of elephants and baobab trees. Other wildlife to explore on the Tarangire safari include lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, zebras, hippos, and birds.
In your respective game safari lodges, you will have a tasty lunch.
After a leisurely lunch, you will have the best of a guided game drive to explore some of the wildlife species in Tarangire National Park. Drive back to the lodge after the enriching afternoon game-viewing excursion.
Day 3: Enjoy game Drives – full day
Get up early ready to embark on your guided game drive in the finest Tarangire wildlife habitats. A full day is dedicated to today’s wildlife viewing. With an experienced guide, expect to search for the different wild animals in Tarangire National Park including African elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, and birds.
Day 4: Transfer to Central Serengeti national park
Depart from Tarangire for Serengeti National Park, about 6-7 hours’ drive. Serengeti is a UNESCO site and is most popular for its Great Migration and Big 5. It is the best destination to enjoy a guided game drive and also for you to experience the Great Migration.
Day 5: Full day in Central Serengeti national park
The Central Serengeti is known for its huge concentration of wildlife and today, expect to have the best of what the heart of Serengeti National Park has to offer for you. Beyond the breathtaking landscapes, expect to encounter different wild animals including the wildebeest, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, impalas, jackals, topis, and many bird species.
Day 6: The Great Migration Safari
After breakfast, set off for the Great Migration in Serengeti National Park. Not only will you come across the wildebeests but also different Big cats such as cheetahs, leopards, and lions. The Great Migration involves a huge movement of over 2 million wildebeest accompanied by other grazers like zebras, impalas, gazelles, and elands.
Day 6: Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro crater by car
Today, you will check out of the lodge from Serengeti. Driving from Serengeti to Ngorongoro takes about 4 hours. Ngorongoro is one of the natural wonders on the African continent and also boasts of its distinct ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Crater holds a huge concentration of wildlife including the cape buffaloes, zebras, lions, black rhinos, and bird species.
On arrival at Ngorongoro Crater/Conservation Area, expect to check in your lodge for relaxation and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, proceed with a guided game drive with the local expert to explore some of the unique wildlife species that freely range in Ngorongoro.
Day 7: Explore Ngorongoro on a full game drive
Have a delicious breakfast then catch up with the local expert for a full-day wildlife/game drive in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This will include a combined morning and afternoon game viewing. Expect to find animals such as leopards, cheetahs, lions, black rhinoceros, spotted hyenas, zebras, and wildebeests.
Day 8: Ngorongoro to Zanzibar by flight
This day is dedicated for you to fly up to Zanzibar Island, a charming island along the Tanzanian coastline. At Zanzibar, expect to immerse yourself in the exotic tropical beaches, and visit Stone Town and other popular sites.
Day 9: Stone Town Excursion with an expert
Zanzibar is a spice hub and today, try out some during your breakfast. After, embark on a 2-hour walking expedition with the local experts. The walk will be done in Stone Town where you will follow the narrow alleys. Several historic sites await for you to explore in the historic Stone Town including House of Wonders, Slave Market, Darajani Markets, Old Fort, and more.
Day 10: Zanzibar Beach holiday
Today is fully dedicated for you to experience the tropical Zanzibar Island and enjoy the clear blue Indian Ocean waters. Immerse yourself in the white sandy beaches, experience the best of sunbath or go swimming. There are also recreational activities for active adventure seekers, especially scuba diving and snorkeling.
Day 11: Departure
After the hearty breakfast, catch up with your flight at the Zanzibar Airport. Today marks the end of the 11 Days of Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Beach Vacation.
