This 7-day Rwanda Gorilla trekking and Hadzabe community tour will offer you an unforgettable experience that will take you through an adventure to Rwanda and Tanzania. The adventure combines and offers a close encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park and an indigenous tribe that depends on hunting and food gathering.
Encountering the gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park where you will trek to find these primates in the lush and montane forest. While in Rwanda, you will go ahead with a community visit to the gorilla guardian village, a visit to the Dian Fossey University, and a Kigali city tour.
Encounter of the Hadzabe community will take you to encounter these people who depend on hunting and food gathering. This community is still regarded as the bushmen of Africa.
Hadzabe community lives in areas of the Arusha region near Lake Eyasi in the Serengeti plains.

Details of the safari
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali.
On arrival at the Kigali International Airport, You will picked up from the airport and then transferred from the airport to Kigali. In Kigali, you will continue to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Day 2 will start with an early morning breakfast and then continue with a city tour around Kigali that will take you through learning about the evolution and history of the country. In this city tour, you will visit several sites around the city like the Kigali genocide, local markets, the president’s museum, and the Beligium Monument, among others.
Later on, you will go ahead with the transfer to the Volcanoes National Park which is about a 2 to 3-hour drive to reach the park. In the evening, you will continue with the visit to the Dian Fossey University.
At this University, you will learn about the conservation efforts that were geared by the late Dian Fossey.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Community Visit.
You will start the day with an early morning breakfast and then continue with a transfer to park headquarters for the gorilla trekking. While at the park headquarters, you will engage with the ranger guides who will take you through the guidelines of gorilla trekking.
Then you will be grouped in groups of 8pax where each group is allowed to visit one gorilla family. Later on, you will continue with the gorilla trekking which will take about 2 to 6 hours of the day.
In this activity, as you come across the gorillas you will have one hour viewing the gorillas maintaining a distance of 7 meters.
In the evening, you will continue with a community visit to the Gorilla Guardian Village where you will engage in activities like coffee roasting, banana brewing, cultural dances, and many others.

Day 4: Transfer to Arusha.
After your early morning breakfast on day 4, you will go ahead with a transfer to Kigali. While in Kigali, you will be transferred to the airport for an outbound flight to Arusha.
Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, You will be transferred to Arusha to the hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to the lake Eyasi.
You will start the day with an early morning breakfast, then transfer to Lake Eyasi, located in northern Tanzania. This transfer to the lake Eyasi will take about 4 to 5 hours of the day.
As you arrive at Lake Eyasi, you engage in lunch and then continue with the walk around Lake Eyasi to encounter the wildlife around the lake.
You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full day with the Hadzabe community.
On the second last day of the 7-day Rwanda gorilla trekking and Hadzabe community tour, You will rise early in the morning at around 0500 hours and then transfer to the Hadzabe community.
While in this community, you will join the Hadzabe for the early morning hunting and food gathering. This community majorly depends on food gathering and hunting.
In the gathering, some of the foods gathered include fruits, honey, and many others. Later on, you will engage in the wild games with the locals as you learn about their lifestyle.
In the evening, you will engage in a sundowner at the scenic point with the community members of the Hadzabe.

Day 7: Guided game drive In Ngorongoro and departure.
On the final day of the 7-day Rwanda gorilla trekking and Hadzabe community tour, you will rise early and transfer to Arusha via the Ngorongoro conservation area with a packed breakfast.
In the Ngorongoro conservation area, you will engage in game viewing to see the wildlife around the conservation area. Wildlife encountered include lions , leopards , buffaloes , antelopes , rhinos , and many others.
Then later on you will continue with the transfer to Arusha where you will choose to be transferred to the airport or hotel of your choice in Arusha.
