5-Day Queen Elizabeth and Kalinzu Chimpanzee Trekking

After breakfast, you will drive to Ishasha side of Queen Elizabeth National park for your morning game drive. Ishasha is popular for tree climbing lions and chances of seeing them climbing depends on your luck of the day. Ishasha has other animals like Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes and many others. You may also drive to River Ishasha to see the border of Uganda and Democratic republic of Congo. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and then evening game drive in Ishasha for wilder animal viewing. You will later check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

A pre-dawn wake up, and breakfast before we transfer to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National park. We shall drive through the Maramagambo forest and the part of Queen Elizabeth to the park’s northern part. We shall have a drive through the crater lakes. The park has dozens of craters from the volcanic activities millions years ago. After the drive you shall check in at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will take on the Kazinga channel boat safari where you will have a relaxed afternoon to watch wildlife along the banks of the Kazinga channel.

After breakfast you will take packed lunch and head for a another rewarding game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to increase your wildlife animal view counts and see Africa’s highly famed “Big 5”, Bush Bucks, Giant Hogs, Antelopes, Waterbucks and plenty of birds. We shall after return to the Lodgefor Lunch and in the afternoon have a drive again at the park to increase your chances of seeing what you may have missed in the morning.

Have an early morning breakfast and head to Kalinzu Forest for Chimpanzee tracking to meet man’s closet cousins in the wild. You will be amazed to see these primates as they play, swing on tree branches, fight for food etc. Later embark on an exciting road trip back to Entebbe with lunch en route, to be dropped at Entebbe international airport.
