Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:  Travel to Murchison falls National Park via Rhino Sanctuary

After your early morning breakfast, Set off for Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, where you will do the tracking on foot during this guided nature walk and get up close to these huge members of the African big five mammals so that you have a complete feel of the African Big five mammals as it is the Rhinos, out of the big five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park. Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. Ziwa Rhino sanctuary has got over 41 Rhinos. 

You will have lunch and some relaxation time and later continue to Murchison falls. Drive to the lodge as you view wild animals en route. Check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game drive in Murchison falls National Park and afternoon boat safari on the Nile.

You will have a cup of coffee early morning at the lodge and the guide will have parked breakfast for you so that to have a bush breakfast after a couple hours of morning game drive in Murchison falls National Park and afternoon boat safari on the Nile.  After breakfast, our driver guide together picks you up for the early game drive. Explore the major game trails for good game spotting including lots of Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Kobs, Waterbucks, and Jackson’s Hartebeests.

You will return to the lodge for lunch and refreshment plus relaxation. You will embark on your boat safari on the Nile to spot a variety of wildlife species and aquatic life.  Later on, you might opt to relax at the lodge by the pool or have an evening game drive to spot lots of Uganda Kobs “For diversified experience” grazing, Ground Hornbills, Elephants, Buffaloes, and many other animals. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Hike to the Top of the fall | Late Evening Sundowner

Wake up to your early morning breakfast, transfer to the top of the falls in Murchison Falls National Park where you will have a morning hike to the falls. The hike to the top of the falls in Murchison Falls National Park is truly a breathtaking adventure through the heart of one of Uganda’s most iconic natural wonders.

As you embark on this journey, you’ll find yourself immersed in the stunning beauty of the African wilderness, surrounded by lush vegetation and the soothing sounds of flowing water. You will later head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation and have an evening sundowner. Check back at the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

To Kibale Forest, an early rise for breakfast and our transfer to the “Primate Capital”. The scenic  drive on a smooth road and exciting sceneries of Uganda’s west side bring us to one of Uganda’s  most kept tract of Forest that keeps 13 primate species that include chimpanzees.

We shall have various stops for lunch, landscape viewing arriving late afternoon. Check-in and you can opt for a village walk.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking | Afternoon Community Experience

Chimpanzee day. After breakfast head to Kibale Forest. The activity begins at 8.00 am with a briefing of the rule for trekking the chimpanzees after which you set off to search for them in the forest. Kibale Forest National Park, it boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning.

Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them and then head back to the accommodation for Lunch. In the afternoon, you will head out for the local community experience around Kibale National park and get to see how the locals live and their cultural backgrounds. Check back at the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park | Boat Safari in the Afternoon

Wake up to your early morning breakfast, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s famous National Park. You will have lunch at the lodge and later embark on a boat safari on Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park. The channel is 40km long and a converging place for wildlife (that come to drink) during the dry season. It has the highest number of hippos, has crocodiles, and several water birds. A 2-3 hour cruise will get you magic. After boat cruise, we will drive to our lodge and have an overnight here.

Day7: Morning Experience on a Game Drive | Evening Rest at the lodge

Time to explore Queen Elizabeth’s Kasenyi plains. We shall have a drive through the network of tracks as we search for big game (Lions, leopards, elephants, serval cats, Kobs, buffaloes, hippos, etc.) you will have lunch and rest at the pool at the lodge and later dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha Sector.

After your early morning breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through isasha sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park. On this given track you may see tree climbing lions as well as other wildlife animals in isasha. You will later check in at the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking | Batwa Community Experience

You will be up early on the morning of your Gorilla Tracking for a good breakfast in preparation for the day’s physical activity. You will report for registration at the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger station by 8 AM. After a briefing by the rangers, your gorilla trek will start. The trek usually takes between three and six hours so a reasonable degree of fitness is required, as well as a strong pair of walking boots or shoes.

The rangers will guide you through the village gardens and into the jungle-like forest. They will escort you through the sometimes thick bush, occasionally hacking the dense undergrowth with a machete as you search to locate the gorillas. The mountain gorillas are under 24-hour monitoring for their safety. You are almost guaranteed to see them. The rangers monitor each gorilla family by keeping in close radio contact.

After Gorilla Trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the Afternoon, you may have optional activities to do such as Batwa community experience to have a feel of how the local communities in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park live in Harmony with the mountain Gorillas.

You will later return back to the lodge for Dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi | Afternoon Boat Safari

Wake up to your early morning breakfast, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the deepest lakes in Africa, reaching depths of up to 44 meters (144 feet). It is situated at an altitude of about 1,962 meters (6,437 feet) above sea level. The lake was formed by tectonic activity, resulting in a series of steep hills and deep valleys surrounding its shores.

It is believed to be about 8,000 to 10,000 years old. In the afternoon, you will have an afternoon boat safari on Lake Bunyonyi. Check back at the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park | Horseback Riding

Upon your early morning breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo National Park is a gem nestled in the heart of western Uganda, covering an area of approximately 370 square kilometers. Lake Mburo National Park is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including several mammal species such as impalas, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, and bushbucks. It’s also one of the few places in Uganda where you can spot the elusive Burch ell’s zebra. The park is particularly renowned for its high concentration of impalas.

In the afternoon, you will head for the horseback riding which takes about 30 to 5 hours depending on your energy and ability to ride within the park, and later check back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 12: Walking Safari with Wildlife | Evening Game Drive (Optional)

After having an early breakfast, go for a morning safari walk in Lake Mburo National park. This Park is famous for walks inside and around the park on foot where you can see long horned cattle of Ankole community which can mix freely with Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. Check back at the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later you will have an evening game drive (Optional) and after have dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Day 13: Late Breakfast and Transfer to Entebbe

After your breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you back to Entebbe for your outbound flight.
