Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1. Arrival at Entebbe Airport and transfer to Murchison falls national Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Meet your driver guide at the Airport and transfer to northwest part of Uganda to Murchison falls national park. On your way you make a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking which starts with a briefing from the ranger guide and then go to spend one hour with the rhinos. Have lunch at Ziwa and then continue to Murchison falls national park with a visit to the top of the falls as you continue to the lodge.

Day 2. Morning game drive and afternoon boat safari to the bottom of the falls.

After breakfast, set off for a morning game drive in the park through the authorized tracks with high chances of seeing cats hunting like lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals plus a number of other animals grazing like elephants, herds of buffaloes, hartebeest, duikers, warthogs and bird species like hornbills, starlings, vultures, eagles.

Go for lunch and after set off for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls with exciting views and animal life like crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes plus bird species like jacana, geese, cormorants among others.

 Day 3. Transfer to Kibale national park.

Have breakfast early morning as you prepare for a long day of about 7 hour drive to Kibale national park. On your way, expect to see the local markets, tea plantations as you continue to have lunch in Fort portal and then continue to the Lodge for a night.

Day 4. Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Bigodi swamp walk.

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing as you prepare to go for Chimpanzee trekking. You will enter the forest with the ranger guide to trek the chimps where you are allowed one hour to stay with them after meeting them. The forest also holds other primates like colobus, mangabies, blue monkeys, vervets plus other animals and forest birds. Have lunch and after lunch go for Bigodi Swamp walk commonly known to be a home to the great blue turaco plus other birds and animals.

Day 5. Transfer to Rwenzori mountains and Hike to the mountain.

Wake up early morning have breakfast and transfer to the Rwenzori mountain. You via the Kasenda crater lakes as you continue with your journey. Reach the mountain service center for briefing and then start to hike to the mountain. You have chances to spot the Rwenzori turaco plus a 3 horned chameleon and other animals like forest elephant, forest hogs, duikers and birds, reptiles among others. A night in the mountain

Day 6. Rwenzori Mountain.

Continue with your hike in mountain as you expect to reach a target point as you enjoy the stunning views of the mountain, the cool temperatures and spot as many animals, birds and reptiles as you can. A night in the mountain.

Day 7. Descend from the mountain and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Slope down the mountain and leave behind Rwenzori Mountain to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for relaxation at the lodge.

Day 8. Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

After breakfast go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth national park with chances to spot the big cats like lions, leopards, hyenas plus the grazers like elephants, buffaloes, kob, hippos, warthogs and bird species like shrikes, tinker birds, doves, eagles among others. Visit the Kasenyi salt lake and then go back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, transfer to Kazinga channel for a 2 hour afternoon boat cruise. The channel connects the two lakes Edward and George where you see animals like elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos yawning and lots of aquatic birds like jacanas, marabou stork, cormorants, kingfishers etc.

Day 9. Transfer to Ishasha and afternoon game drive.

Have breakfast and transfer to Ishasha. You pass through the park enjoying the view of animals and birds as you continue to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive in Ishasha a sector best known for tree climbing lions and other animals like leopards, elephants, buffaloes, Kobs, baboons, monkeys plus lots of bird species since the park holds about 600 bird species.

Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp [luxury], Ishasha Jungle lodge [mid-range], Topi Lodge [budget] Day 10. Morning game drive and transfer to Ruhija sector of Bwindi.

Try another luck this morning in case you missed the climbing lions or to see as many of them as possible plus other cats like leopards, hyenas hunting and grazers grazing in groups giving you the best moments of your travel and then go to the Lodge for an early lunch. After lunch, transfer to Ruhija sector of Bwindi through the cultivated hills and forests giving you the best spots for photography.

Day 11. Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kisoro [Mgahinga].

After breakfast, transfer to Ruhija sector headquarters for briefing at 8am. You will be divided into groups of 8 people with the ranger guides and enter the forest to trek the Gorillas. It’s a long day activity since the Gorillas movements are unpredictable with the hikes until you meet the gorillas where are allowed one hour to interact and take as many photos as you wish. You also get chances to see other primates, animals, reptiles and birds and then after transfer to Kisoro for a night.

Day 12. Golden Monkey trekking in Mgahinga national park.

You transfer from the lodge to Mgahinga national Park. You will first be briefed and later enter the forest with the ranger guide to trek the golden monkeys. Prepare for a long day hike in the forest because the golden monkeys are unpredictable so you have to be fit to do some hiking and here you also have an opportunity to see other animals like buffaloes, duikers, forest hogs plus lots of bird species and after transfer back to the Lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Overnight at Gahinga Lodge [luxury], Kisoro Travellers Rest Lodge [mid-range], and Mount Gahinga Rest Camp [budget].

Day 13. Visit the Batwa community and transfer to Bunyonyi.

You will transfer to Mgahinga forest and this time not for golden monkey trekking but purposely to visit the Batwa community. Here you also start with briefing and then the ranger guides and Batwa guides take you through the forest as they show you their life style by the time they lived in the forest and after take you to their craft market while enjoying their traditional dancing styles. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation. [Optional activities swimming, boat cruise].

Day 14. Transfer to Lake Mburo national Park and afternoon game drive.

After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo national Park as you enjoying the view of the terraced hills on the way. Continue with journey with a target to have lunch at the lodge and relax. After lunch set off for an afternoon game drive in the park, here you have chances to animals that are not common in other parks like impalas, zebras, giraffes, elands [these animals can be found in few Uganda park] plus other animals like buffaloes, warthogs, bushbucks, baboons and a variety of birds and reptiles.

 Overnight at Mihingo Lodge [luxury], Rwakobo Rock [mid-range], and Eagle’s Nest [Budget].   

Day 15. Morning game drive and transfer to Entebbe.

Have breakfast and then drive to the park through different tracks of the park to spot as more animals than yesterday and also try the chances of spotting some cats hunting like leopards, hyenas and other animals coming out to graze like herds of buffaloes, hippos, bushbucks, warthogs plus a variety of birds and reptiles and then start your journey to Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator for lunch and photography.
