Overview
This 3 day gorilla safari to Volcanoes national park will start in Kigali Rwanda’s capital. Have a short city tour to the genocide memorial, and markets then drive to the park. Encounter the locals track gorillas and visit the twin lakes.
Details
Day 1- Transfer Volcanoes National Park
Your driver guide will brief you about the details concerning your 3 days safari and this will be after breakfast at your hotel. You will have yourself a city tour where you will be able to visit the National Museum or the Genocide memorial centre then he will then transfer you north to Volcanoes National Park which is located about a 2hrs drive from Kigali. In the afternoon take a walk in the community and watch traditional dances of the locals after relax at your lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay at One & Only Gorilla Nest (Luxury), Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Budget).
Day 2- Gorilla tracking
Have an early heavy breakfast, after your driver guide will take you to the headquarters in the park by 8 am for beefing. Later be led into the park by a ranger guide and embark on the amazing adventure which is gorilla tracking, in most cases this activity requires some physical fitness because it involves hikes. The activity may take between 2 to 6hours to get to these apes and trekkers are permitted to be with the gorillas for 1 hour. Experience seeing them play, feed among others. After trekking, you will head back to the lodge have lunch and after you will visit to the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo or the Iby’Iwachu Cultural Village.

Day 3- Drive to Kigali and departure
Rise early and have a morning breakfast before you check out from the lodge. After that your driver guide will transfer you to Kigali city where you will have a short time shopping from local markets, you can buy souvenirs you will after have lunch and transfer to the airport.
