A 6-day Rwanda gorilla trekking and Diani beach safari seamlessly combines the awe-inspiring gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda with the Diani beach experience. This safari is a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and coastal tranquility.
This adventure begins with gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, located in the western province of Rwanda. Tracked gorillas are usually habituated for them to get used to the human presence.
While on the gorilla safaris to Rwanda, you will also have an opportunity to engage in Kigali city and community visits.
Dian beach experience will take you through encountering the several coastal features in the Indian Ocean and Mombasa. It is situated on the south coast of Kenya.
During the Dian Beach safaris, you will visit the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park to see several marine wildlife and also engage in several coastal activities.

Details of the safari
Day 1: Transfer from the airport.
On Day 1 of your 6-day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Diani Beach Safari, our driver will pick you up from Kigali International Airport and drive you to your hotel in Kigali. While at the hotel, you will start over with dinner and then left to rest for the rest of the night.

Day 2: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
You will rise up early in the morning and start over with an early morning breakfast. After your breakfast, you will go ahead with Kigali city which will take you through an encounter of several sites around Kigali like Kigali genocide museum, President’s Museum, local markets, and many others.
As you get done with lunch, you will engage in the transfer to the Volcanoes National Park.
When you arrive in the park, you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and community visit.
On this adventure day, you will rise early in the morning and proceed with a transfer to the park headquarters. While at the park headquarters, you will join up with the ranger guides to engage in orientation about gorilla trekking.
In this orientation, the guide explains the dos and don’ts of the activity. Later, they divide you into groups of 8, with each group visiting one gorilla family.
You will later go ahead with gorilla trekking which will take about 2 to 7 hours of the day upon where you meet the gorillas. As you meet the gorillas, you will have one hour viewing the gorillas at a distance of 7 meters.
After the gorilla trekking, you will continue with the community visit to the gorilla guardian village. In this village, you will have an interaction with the several cultural communities around Rwanda. In these communities, you will engage in activities like cultural dances, banana brewing, storytelling, and many other activities.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali for a flight to Mombasa.
You will start this day with a relaxed morning breakfast and then you will later start over with a transfer to Kigali. Our team will transfer you to the Kigali airport for your outbound flight to Mombasa at Moi International Airport.
Upon arriving at Moi International Airport, our team will transfer you to the hotel for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Day 5: full day in the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park
On the second last day of the 6-day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Diani Safaris, we will transfer you to Shimoni, located south of Diani Beach. You will transfer by boat to Kisite -Mpunguti Marine Park by boat.
As you are at this marine park, you will have a chance to see several marine wildlife like Dolphins, fish species, coral reefs, and many others. As you are at the marine park, you will also engage in other activities swimming, snorkeling, and many others.
Later on, you will continue to Wasin island where you will engage in preparation and taste of the local cuisine. You will return in the evening to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 6: Beach time and departure.
Final day of the 6 day Rwanda gorilla trekking and Diani beach safaris, you will start with a relaxed breakfast and then continue with beach time at the Diani beach. You will later engage in the transfer to the Moi International Airport for your flight back home.
