Overview
Embark on this memorable safari in Tanzania where you expect to meet different wildlife including witnessing the annual wildebeest migration. During this safari, game drives will be the main activity but other will be city tours, community tours, hot air ballooning, and many more others.
This tour comprises wildlife including the big five animals, unique bird species, the African big five animals, big cats, primates, and culture. Visit Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the mighty Serengeti National Park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha
The driver guide will pick you up from the airport and immediately transfer you to the hotel after acquiring all the requirements which you might have missed bringing from home. On this day, have an optional activity of a city tour depending on your arrival time. Here, expect to visit the museums, local markets, art and gallery centers, and more.
Day2. Transfer to Tarangire NP
The driver guide will pick you up from the hotel in Arusha and you will head to Tarangire National Park which approximately takes about 2 hours’ drive. Spend the whole day enjoying the game drive as you spot large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and diverse bird species.
Also, spot animals like lions, leopards, different antelopes. Expect a picnic lunch during this day to enjoy the true African wilderness. Later on in the evening, transfer to the lodge is booked.
Day3. Transfer to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park a drive that will last for one and a half hours. This park is known for the rare tree climbing lions that can also be found in Uganda. In this park also, expect to meet large troops of baboons and pink flamingoes on Soda Lake. Arrive and take part in the evening game drive which will last for about 3 hours exploring the beautiful endless plains.
Day4. Transfer to Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast, transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area a journey that will last for about 1.5 hours. Arrive and descend to the Ngorongoro crater for a half-day tour. This area is home to large numbers of wildlife including the big five animals (lion, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos), hippos, zebras, different birds, and more others. Head to the lodge for your dinner and night stay.
Day5.Transfer to Serengeti NP
After an early breakfast, transfer to central Serengeti for another adventure in style. Arrive and enjoy a morning game drive which will take about 3 hours as you enjoy the lion pride in the diverse savannahs. Later on, check in the accommodation facility booked and this will create everlasting memories.
Day6-7. Full days game drives in the northern Serengeti
On each day during day 6 and day 7, have an early game drive to catch up with early predators hunting for their prey. Also, on these days, the target is to meet and witness the annual wildebeest migration since the northern Serengeti plains are famous for that. Great moments such as picnic lunch, bush breakfast, sunrise and sunset, and more. While on these game drives, expect to meet animals like zebras, elephants, lions, warthogs, dik dik and more others.
Day8. Departure day
Depending on your scheduled flight, have a leisurely breakfast which will be followed by a short game drive to wrap up with your 8-day Tanzania migration safari. Depart back to Arusha where you will board your flight back home.
