Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up and drive to the hotel in Nairobi city

Meet a professional driver guide from AllanBlackia Safaris at the Airport in Nairobi. You will board your comfortable safari vehicle and be transferred to the hotel in Nairobi Capital. Have the rest of the evening at the hotel including preparing for the next day’s journey to your first destination for exploration in Kenya.

Day 2: Leave Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Early in the morning, you will meet your professional driver guide who will be transferring you to Lake Nakuru National Park. First, you will have a short briefing about your special Kenya safari. After, be ready to start your journey to the charming Lake Nakuru National Park. Today’s road trip will run for about 3-4 hours and on arrival, expect to settle for lunch in your respective lodges.

In the afternoon, leave the safari lodge for an afternoon game drive. The guided game drive in Lake Nakuru Park will expose you to the diversity of wildlife. Expect to see the diversity of your favorite wild animals including the black and white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, leopards, the Rothschild giraffes, rock hyrax, Dik-Dik, clawless otters, and klipspringers. Other wildlife to keep an eye on include elands, impalas, steenbok, reedbucks, and countless birds.

Day 3: Guided game drive (full day)

A full day will be dedicated for you to experience the best of Lake Nakuru National Park game viewing. The 188 sq. km Lake Nakuru Park will enrich you with great wildlife encounters including leopards,  birds like flamingos, antelopes such as impalas, reedbucks, elands, klipspringers, Dik-dik; the Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, black and white rhinos. After the combined morning and afternoon game drive, you will have the rest of the evening at the safari lodge in or around Lake Nakuru Park.

Day 4: Depart for Maasai Mara reserve

Following the sumptuous breakfast, drive to Maasai Mara navigating via the breathtaking Rift Valley area in the countryside. Appreciate the stunning countryside landscape and en route, expect to make a stopover in Narok Town to get some refreshments. After, proceed up to the Masai Mara National Reserve.

As you connect to your respective lodges for an overnight stay, enjoy a short game drive. At the lodge, have adequate time to organize your property and also put everything together for the next day’s safari activities.

Day 5: Full Day exploring Maasai Mara Wildlife Reserve

A full-day game drive will begin with a morning session where you catch up with a diversity of early risers. The expected wildlife to spot on the Masai Mara wildlife tour include Thomson’s gazelles, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, and zebras, and do not forget to watch the wildebeests. More wildlife will be encountered during the afternoon game drive session then you return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 6: Mara River wildebeest crossing and other guided game drives

After breakfast, expect to set off for a memorable game drive for the second time or today, focusing on the Mara River wildebeest crossing. The Mara River crossing will be perfectly observed starting in July to September –the peak wildebeest migration season in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Besides wildebeest, expect to come across a diversity of other wildlife, especially lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other predators as they hunt for the wildebeest.

Day 7: Connect by road to Lake Naivasha

Leave Masai Mara for Lake Naivasha National Park, a renowned birding destination in the Magical Kenya. En route, expect to enjoy the beautiful countryside and on arrival, check in your accommodation for relaxation.

Day 8: Boat ride

Set off from your lodge for an early morning enriching boat cruise excursion. On a boat ride, expect to explore some of the finest birds including the fish-eagles, cormorants, and pelicans. Aquatic animals to encounter include crocodiles and hippos. Lake Naivasha is also popular for its diverse wildlife including zebras, gazelles, warthogs, buffaloes, and waterbucks.

Day 9: Transfer by car to Amboseli national park

Today, your next visit will be Amboseli National Park, a stunning savanna park tucked right at the foothills of the majestic Kilimanjaro Volcano. Amboseli is a compact park with a land area coverage of about 400 sq. km. Expect to drive for 340 km Amboseli from Lake Naivasha. Amboseli is one of the best destinations to find African elephants and is without a doubt nature lovers’ favorite spot. Besides elephants, it shelters other wildlife such as zebras, hyenas, giraffes, buffaloes, and others.

Day 10: Enjoy a Game Drive with an Expert

After breakfast, set off for a guided game drive through Amboseli National Park. A guided game drive through Amboseli will have you exposed to abundant wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, wildebeest, large herds of zebras, and birds. Today’s game viewing includes morning and afternoon sessions, then you return to have dinner plus an overnight stay in your respective lodges.

Day 11: Transfer to Nairobi, take a flight to Diani Beach

Depart from Amboseli National Park for Nairobi where you will connect to Diani Beach by air. Arrive early and catch up with your flight at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. At Diani, you will be picked up by our company representative.

Day 12: Transfer to Kisite-Mpunguti Park

Leave your lodge ready to transfer to Shimoni South of Diani Beach. It is at Shimoni where you will have registration and then set off on a boat ride to Kisite-Mpunguti and Wasin Island. Kisite Marine Park is most popular for its marine life including coral reefs and Dolphins.

At the Kisite-Mpunguti, expect to engage in swimming or snorkeling. Enjoy the Ocean water at the coast and later, connect to Wasin Island on a boat. Lunch break will be had at Shimoni, and then you return to your resort.

Day 13: Beach life & Walks

Today, expect to embark on Diani Beach excursions including walking as you observe the tides and blue Ocean. The Diani Beach extends about 17 km and today, you will also have a chance to swim in the pool/Ocean.

Day 14: Beach Moments

Expect to have a long day chilling at Diani Beach or take a boat ride in the ocean. The rest of the evening will be had at the comfortable resorts along the coast.

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast, expect to check out your comfortable resort at the coastline. Leave the lodge for Moi International Airport. Today marks the end of the long 15 days Kenya safari and Diani Beach holiday.
