Spotted hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs are among the other predators that lurk, while the herbivores include zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, a variety of antelopes and large herds of wildebeests. Nile crocodiles and hippos may be seen wallowing in the Mara River. Birding enthusiasts are in for a treat with over 550 bird species documented.
