2 2-day Mount Bisoke hiking safari is one of the short experiencesthat will start from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. Mount Bisoke is among the 5 volcanoes which are within Rwanda at an elevation of about 3711 metres above sea level.

Day 1: Pick and transfer to Musanze
While in Kigali, you will be picked up and transferred to Musanzee which is the starting point of the hike. The transfer will take about 3 hours to reach the area.
You will start over with lunch and you will continue with the visit to the gorilla guardian village within Musanze. This visit will take you through the different cultural encounters of the village.
Activities that you will engage in are cultural dances, coffee roasting, banana brewing, and many others.

Day 2: Hike to Mount Bisoke.
You will rise so early in the morning and you will go ahead with the morning breakfast. After your breakfast, you will start over with the transfer to Kinigi for the briefing about the hiking.
As you arrive at the park headquarters, you several groups of people grouped differently according to the activities they are going to do. Then after the briefing, you will go ahead with your backpacker and with your lunch box.
Then you will go ahead with the ranger guide and armed officers since the park has several elephants, and buffaloes that may attack you during the hike.
The hike will take you to the highest point of the mountain which is at the border of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
While at the highest point of the mountain, you will have a view of the several crater lakes around the area. On the lucky day you will see several wildlife like elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, golden monkeys, gorillas, and many others.
Then later on you will go ahead with the transfer back to Kigali. On arrival in Kigali, you will either be transferred to the airport for your outbound flights or to the hotel of your choice in Kigali.
